Advent is a time of waiting. Yes, the book is published, and I am waiting to receive a copy in my hands. Which is in the post, and will arrive. The expectation is how will it sell. Who will buy it?
2026 may it be a good year.
Winter.
The sight of bare trees, branches covered in frost, or trees silhouetted against a red winter sky, all beautiful.
I love Christmas lights on houses, garden trees. They make winter seem less gloomy.
Advent is the build up to Christmas. I bring out all my Christmas CD’s and listen to them.
Wrapping up warm in scarves, hat, gloves, is a necessity.
When indoors, sitting by a warm fire, is so good. The Christmas tree goes up second week in December, the house is decorated, the grandchildren come over and celebrate a few days before the 25th.
Carol services are a must.
Then a lovely Christmas dinner, the King’s speech, and relaxing.
Then meeting up after Christmas with my family to celebrate my brother’s birthday.
From January to February, we might go somewhere warm, or plan to.
By this time, I’m longing for Spring.
My new year resolutions are to write more, see One Summer in Your Shoes, do well, and complete the other books in the series.
I look forward to warmer weather, Spring, my favourite season, and new growth on the trees.
